Hi 👋 I’m Sally. I'm thrilled to welcome you to my corner of the Internet.
My life is motivated by adventure, inclusion, and a constant drive toward self-actualization.
I’m mesmerized by side quests, anything that sparkles, new environments, and quirky humans. I mix well with most environments, from climbing mountains at National Parks to presenting in board rooms; from journaling down points of inspiration in art museums to dancing on parade routes.
I spent years in New York City studying the evolving landscape as an Urban Studies major at Columbia University, specializing in Social Psychology. My award-winning research explored how social media was altering the way humans imagined and navigated the city. I completed immersive abroad experiences in Shanghai, Beijing, Ahmedabad, Sao Paulo, and Cape Town to broaden my perspective.
I moved to New Orleans as part of the startup-oriented Venture for America fellowship. I was a Business Development Strategist at the New Orleans Business Alliance, focused on bio, technology, healthcare, and entrepreneurship.
I started Big Easel Collective to connect local New Orleans artists with commercial placemaking projects to design memorable art installations for businesses. I love demystifying the evolving future of the social media city, organic marketing, new consumer behaviors, and the built environment.
My experience in startups has imbued me with a varied and dynamic skillset that I apply readily to any challenge. My expertise is rooted in complex project management, construction, real estate, digital marketing, human-centered design, event planning, entrepreneurship, and business development.
During my time at Columbia, I discovered my passion for cities and design. In New Orleans, I fell in love with community-centered creative experiences and entrepreneurship. Pursuing my MFA in Themed Entertainment Design at SCAD allows me to apply my skillsets to place-based, imaginative world-building.
When I’m not working, I can normally be found biking or driving my campervan to my next adventure while listening to my latest podcast obsession.
My wish is that this 'portfolio' is a constantly evolving digital scrapbook of thoughts, inspirations, and past achievements that help me make sense of and reflect on my life.
