Hello, there — I’m Sally!
I’m a place-based project manager and maximalist experiential designer.
As my life evolves, I’m enchanted by many forms of world-building, in particular, immersive art experiences in nature- or urban-based environments, themed hospitality, and uplifting, intentional community gatherings.
Here are some of the projects and experiences that have shaped my life and work, starting with a few highlights.
SXSW -
As an Austin-based design/build Project Director, South by Southwest is the biggest week of my year. Below are a handful of Art Seen Alliance’s SX projects, where I led design development, 2D artbook + 3D design approvals, estimates, contracts, client and vendor alignment, build team stand-ups, installation + removal logistics, and staffing — doing so for, on average, 6 concurrent SXSW pop-ups.
FORMULA ONE
Project managing these IBM x Ferrari and Crowdstrike F1 kits underscored my logistical expertise. I saw these kits through 2D and 3D design development, estimation, and signing — once build, I executed redeployment in Miami, Sonoma, Las Vegas, and Montreal for two annual circuits (and counting). Throughout the F1 season, I assessed load-in plans, freight forwarding, inventory management, quality control, maintenance, repairs, staffing, booking travel, installation, removal, storage, and problem solving.
